my mom gave me this book last week after reading it herself. i only got through the first chapter before succumbing to a deep slumber, but so far so good. apparently is was made into a made for tv movie starring rosie o'donnell & andie macdowell (which i will more than likely not be watching)...
i also want to pick up this book now that i'm getting back into yoga. i saw it on my itchy third eye today and it peeked my interest. don't you ever wonder when the yoga boom starting in the us?...

diy coffee table love...

i love smart, creative, budget friendly, do-it-yourselfers! i saw this on centsational girl today and thought it was totally awesome. i mean hello, places are charging like a bazillion dollars for these types of coffee tables, and this lady made it herself...AND, i think hers is nicer than the others i've seen...

last night was my (less than impressive) triumphant return to yoga, i fell off the wagon a few months ago. i brought a friend with me who's new to yoga too and we have now been looking for a new yoga mat bag for her. these are a few that i like, although my mom made me a wonderful bag for christmas a few years back that i use and love...

not sure why, in this 85 degree weather we're having lately, that i am fixated on scarves & neck warmers (from etsy), but i am. probably has something to do with the fact that stores are already putting fall clothes in their display windows...

i don't typically love such modern minimalist interior design, but i'm very drawn to the monochromaticness with the splashes of blue-purplish hues mixed with some vintage industrial inspired pieces that is courtney cox's malibu home featured in elle decor magazine this month. i love her quote, "you don't want to half-ass a [john] lautner house. so i decided with this house to go a completely different route. i wanted it to look like a modern barn"...bravo courtney!..

barbie finally got her act together...

after work snacking...

easiest alternative dip for veggies or bagel chips ever. literally took me about 5 minutes, good for snacking after work.

ingredients:
1 bag baby spinach
i can cannellini beans
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 whole cloves garlic
dash of ground cumin
tablespoon of lemon juice
salt & pepper for taste

directions:
heat cloves of garlic in olive oil, until fragrant
blend all ingredients in food processor until smooth

i would like to take all three of these from world market please...they would match my dining room table very well...and they have wheels, who doesn't love casters on furniture?..
