doggie diapers...

i wouldn't believe it if i didn't see it with my own eyes. my client had her jack russell terrier in a doggie diaper today because when there are a lot of people in the house she can sometimes get a little too excited and pee herself (side note: we had a cairn terrier, kibbles, who did the same thing)...

currently reading...

next book up for book club is the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society by mary ann shaffer and annie barrows...

celebrity brat blog, love it...

my sister just sent me the best celebrity baby/child/kid bashing blog 'suri's burn book', as told by suri cruise. it is brilliant! here are a few examples...

blogs are dangerous for your wallet...

i'm not joking. every day i see something on one of the 8 million blogs i read daily that fall into the 'have to have' category...and my wallet is suffering. virtual window shopping is not something i'm good at, window shopping in general is not for me. i'm what you call an impulse shopper.

so damn you beach bungalow 8 for posting about this too-cute-not-to-buy-myself one clutches from poketo! what color should i get???

under the stairs...

i loved blueprint bliss's blog post today about utilizing the space under the stairs. as i start to look for homes of my own i'm a little depressed at how little space my price range actually affords me, so every little nook & cranny counts...

a wedding video montage to die for...

my sister just shared an incredible wedding video with me, it's of her friends katie & luke, done my electric tweed productions...and it is fabulous!

a weekend in virginia...

over the weekend my mom and i made a visit to some family down in virginia. on saturday we went to a large antique/flea market show in the area and found a few gems...most of which were out of our price range, but very cool to look at...

i loved these antique metal candy molds, they had every shape & size imaginable, for a pretty penny of course...

we also came across this 19th century kokoshnik, a traditional russian head dress worn by women for special occasions. it was BEAUTIFUL, made entirely of pearls!...

we were also lucky enough to be shown this original glass harmonica, a variation of benjamin franklin's invention the glass armonica...

i was sort of shocked when i stumbled upon these japanese figurines...can you see what they're doing? i sort of wished i had bought them, hahaha! i tried to do a little quick research on them, but the best i could come up with is that they are omorashi collectibles, but i could be wrong...

and when we weren't antiquing i was spiking my 9-year-old cousins hair, because he let me (and because he thinks i'm cool)...

and trying to make my grandmother laugh (she has progressive alzheimer's disease)...

cruising together...

i'm not a hardcore biker, as in bicycles. in fact, i don't really like to ride bikes at all. but i think i might start to like to take leisurely rides along the charles river near my house if i had one of these cruisers from beach bikes. i especially like this one, the firmstrong urban lady single speed, plain & simple...and relatively affordable (i think?) as far as bikes go...

and then i would like to pimp my ride with this basket and this bell...

watercolor women...

if i was daring enough to have a girlie-girl room i would absolutely fill it with multiples of these gorgeous watercolor fashion prints by silver ridge studio, they are so flirty & fun!...

sailor knot bracelets, the new version...

growing up the cool thing to do was to wear rope bracelets to get the best tan line and/or until they stunk to high heaven and our mom was forced to cut them off us...

...and then design crush introduced me to junghwa on etsy and i'm drooling over these must more sophisticated versions...
