mudroom reveal...

remember when i got that idea in my head to paint the mudroom and it looked like this?...

yeah, well, i'm an insomniac who once she has an idea in her head she has to do it 'right this minute'. i have to say, i think this looks much better, less dingy and sort of flows nicely with the kitchen now...

i painted the paneled walls ben moore white dove in satin impervio, which is the trim color in the rest of the house. the one with the teal-ish color on it is a behr paint in flat- i'm an idiot and can't remember the name of the color, sorry. i kept the ceilings the natural beadboard and put a high gloss polyurethane on it...

i went to joann fabric store and found this great upholstery weight stripped fabric (on sale for the 4th of july) to wrap my ugly bulletin board with. i'm also going to try to beg my mom to make a cushion cover for the bench set out of it too...

and no home face-lift with be complete without a trip to homegoods, where i found this prefect colored rug to put under the dog bowl...

i already had this dog leash hook and sign,

and since i'm a nerd and probably the only person on the planet that admits she wears crocs, here are my gardening shoes to tie the whole room together...

  1. I love it - wow the color just lightens everything up! I took a trip to the hardware store today to grab paint chips for our living room....white dove is a contender so I'm glad to see you used it with good result!!
