janna is a super talented interior designer who recently started her own company, swoon design studio. she is a treasure trove of amazing design information & ideas, i always go to her when i need to find something super cool, cause she always knows where to look. i also have the great fortune of getting to work with her a few days a week, she works part-time for the same company as me. seriously, i have no idea how she finds time to do it all...especially with A BABY GIRL on the way!!! OMG, this baby is one lucky little darling to have janna and her amazing husband as parents...i think i might be the most excited person ever for their daughters arrival!
she also happens to be more martha-stewart-esque than me, i kid you not people. she bakes like a pro, keeps a cozy home, makes home-made decorations, and plans all kind of showers, bachelorette parties, extravaganzas galore. like i said, i have no idea how she does it all. well, i sort of do...she has a heart of gold. she's always the first to volunteer to help, even if it means putting herself on the back-burner. she redefines the phrase 'putting others before ones self.'... and it drives me crazy when people abuse that quality in her, makes me want to beat them all up for her...cause she's too nice to even use swear words (unlike my potty mouth).
you don't realize how important some people are to you until its sometimes too late...and i am thankful that i was fortunate enough to get a second round of friendship with janna after graduate school. we spend most of our time after college at work, so the people you work with become a very integral part of your life...and janna is no exception. she can just tell when i'm having an 'off' day and let's me stew in my own quiet thoughts until i'm ready to bend her ear for some heavy listening...but then, around 11am each day, we like to take a break and gossip about what's on rue la la or one kings lane or any of our other favorite blogs! oh,and she loves her pup (and mine) like she was her real human baby...gotta love that about her!
and just so ya'll know, janna was actually the reason i wanted to start this new section of my blog...i wanted to share how wonderful she is with everyone else!
