by the same author as the glass castle, jeanette walls, you will not want to put half broke horses down each night. it's the story of her grandmother, lily, the mother that raised the infamous rosemary. reading this you get a better sense of how rosemary came to be her crazy self, and you even begin to see a little bit of lily in jeanette learning where her grandmother & mother came from. i thoroughly enjoy reading about this matriarch, i think you will too.
