i can't even begin to describe how wonderful paris was...it exceeded my expectations (and i had HIGH expectations). i was fortunate to have friends & co-workers who have visited & lived there so we were given a long list of places to see, shop & eat. 5 days was not enough, so i think i'll have to go back next fall. speaking of fall, by far the best time to be in paris...it was in the lower 60's the entire time, perfect for walking about 8 hours per day.
i was most concerned about the language barrier, but i learned about 10 sentences, the most important being parlez-vous anglais, s'il vous plait...and i learned that if you try to speak the language the people are more receptive.
needless to say, paris is one of the most beautiful places in the world (as far as cities go), every corner was a photograph waiting to be taken. i'll let a few of these photos (out of the 300 i took) do the talking...

It looks like heaven - definitely high on my list of must see places as I've never been. I was particular partial to the food photographs - yum :)
