we saw country strong yesterday afternoon, and it was even better than i had hoped for. aside from the fact that i am already madly in love with tim mcgraw and gwenyth paltrow, newcomer garrett hedlund stole my heart with his sweet, deep, honest voice. i went home and downloaded the soundtrack immediately, and not the one with celebrity singers, nope, the real live cast of the movie. there is just something about southern men; badasses with gentle souls...this was my favorite of garrett's songs...
i think i might go back and watch this movie again this week with a friend who couldn't make it yesterday, yes, it was that good, i'd pay to see it twice. i think i might have even dreamt about it last night, and yes, i am wearing plaid and cowboy boots for the rest of the week...
this particular scene made my heart melt and the river of tears let loose...
